We’re delighted to announce our first seasonal retreat!

Join Angela and Chef Joshna Maharaj in beautiful Gravenhurst for a weekend of delicious food, and deep connection. Enjoy movement, stillness and the space between in this celebration of winter.

 

Together, we will tap into the natural rhythms of nature, connecting to the land, local seasonal fare and exploring the natural shifts in energy and emotions that comes with each season.

 

Cooking demo’s, meditation, communal dinners, healing wisdom, self exploration and plenty of time to enjoy the calm beauty of the land. Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.

 

This Nourishing 3-Day Winter Retreat Includes:

Winter is a time of going in, reconnecting with our inner world by embracing the natural stillness and silence that surrounds us in nature. When we heed the calls of nature and go with, rather than resist the natural slowing down that this season brings, we are able to replenish our root energy and store up for more active call of the seasons to come.

 

This retreat is designed to help you come home to yourself. Fostering soulful and meaningful connections. We’ve set it up so there is both individual reflective and creative time as well as creating a space for meaningful and genuine connection with others.

Location: Cedar Arts Healing Centre, Gravenhurst Ontario

 

Price: Includes shared accommodation, all nourishing meals and snacks, classes – cooking and winter wisdom classes based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, activities and adventures, Yoga and guided meditation daily. Access to infrared sauna and hot tub and many nature trails in Muskoka location. If you'd prefer a single room, please contact us for details.

Itinerary 

 

Friday Night (arrival between 4pm-6pm)

 

Welcome meal 

Welcome Circle - meet your tribe and intro to Winter retreat 

Quiet time to read, chat, retreat - just arrive to settle into the weekend.

 

Saturday

 

7-8am Tea and light snack (optional for early risers)

8am yoga with meditation 

9:15 - 10am Breakfast

30 min break

10:30 - 12 Going deep on Winter - TCM and sharing on winter principles and daily invitation to embrace

 

12:30- 1:15Lunch

 

1:45- 3:30 - Land exploration - group and solo time 

3:30pm reconnect for tea/cider/snack and  sharing circle 

4:30pm -6:00 Dinner prep together and Cooking Class

6pm-7:30 - sauna/ hottub / nap-time/reflective/group acupuncture 

7:30 dinner - Nourishing mind and body

9pm - Satsang "to associate with true people"  - Participation is optional. Simply listening or sharing what feels right.

 

Sunday 

7-8am - tea and early snack (optional)

8am - 9am yoga and meditation - all levels

9:15 - Breakfast 

 

 

10-11:30 - group project (inside)

11:30-12:30 - lunch prep, reflection time, outside time 

12:30-1:15 Lunch - with guided discussion

1:45-2:15 Closing Circle
